  • the stabilisation system works well enough to provide decent shake compensation at longer focal
  • overall build quality is relatively good

Pros

  • This works noiselessly and quite fast as well
  • the stabilisation system works well enough to provide decent shake compensation at longer focal
  • overall build quality is relatively good
  • relatively fast and accurate
  • image stabilisation is quite effective and compensates well for
  • AF speed and accuracy on the M50 are very good
  • great and very inexpensive amateur zoom
  • compact
  • lightweight design allows easy portability
  • It just handles much better on this body
  • Image quality was surprisingly good

Cons

  • Lens distortion of this type is easily corrected using software
  • JPG engine removes it almost entirely from images
  • Canon do not repair this lens
  • the lens is prone to flare
  • The visible difference was not greater in the corners
  • the small apertures it is difficult to isolate subjects
