Pros

  • very fast and very quiet autofocus
  • optical quality and build quality
  • Bokeh is surprisingly good for instance
  • Exposure uniformity is surprisingly good
  • this lens is GOOD
  • very light and compact
  • lens eminently usable at all apertures and focal lengths
  • It tolerates backlight and gives good contrast
  • Quiet
  • fast AF
  • light compact and has a great focus mechanizm

Cons

  • they make a poorly-damped stop in their focused position
  • lense gives blueish images compared to L lenses
  • there is not much extra weight in my backpack
  • plastic feels very cheap and inner lens tube wobbles
  • The lens has a weak sharpness on open apertures
  • Only on Canon small format and crop
  • flimsy and dangling design
  • the lens is noisy despite the presence of a USM motor
  • Canon does not produce either full-format or medium format cameras
  • No focus ring
  • chromatic aberration
