Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L USM

Pros

  • it looks clean and neat
  • auto focusing is extremely fast with all the bodies and the best performance is
  • solidly built and focuses very fast
  • Small
  • lightweight
  • Extremely sharp from f5
  • the AF speed is very fast and virtually silent
  • nice and sharp and chromatic aberration is well handled
  • lens just keeps getting better and better
  • overall optical and mechanical performance are excellent
  • Color

Cons

  • print stickers | sticker printing | printing
  • The lens also does not have image stabilisation
  • Currently there is no perfect long lens
  • 6L is not ideal when used in conjunction with a tele-converter
  • seriously bright conditions or high ISO s to get well exposed shots
  • at the 400's mount is slightly narrower than the extenders
  • 6L USM Lens
  • more distortion (pincushion) and more vignetting
  • the front element does not turn during focus operations
  • there is only one alignment mark
  • blur unit is fairly difficult for the eye to detect
