Pros

  • Colors and contrast are very nice
  • Canon lens and produces a beautifully smooth out of focus background
  • The working distance is great as is the sharpness
  • Very sharp
  • excellent build quality
  • Internal focusing is great this lens is a very good performer

Cons

  • The AF performance of the lens is a little odd
  • 5L USM Lens
  • focus tends to hunt IF the limiter is off
  • lack of weather sealing
  • The image quality is absolutely indistinguishable at every aperture
  • has slow autofocus and no image stabilization
  • slow AF is not a problem
  • terribly slow autofocus Customer Service
  • the focusing is slow
  • Autofocus is very slow when set to the full range
  • lack of image stabilization
