Pros

  • Colours were accurate and captures were unusually sharp and detailed
  • scan quality was much more encouraging
  • solid quality prints and is easy to use
  • print quality is workmanlike rather than spectacular

Cons

  • Its print quality is disappointing
  • the colours in some looked a little drab
  • duplex scans and copies are limited to an A4 maximum
  • unconscionable rip off that is the cost of Brother ink refills
  • cats
  • retro gaming and terrible puns
  • unfortunately only takes one sheet at a time
  • Photo printing lacks vibrancy and is a little over-red
  • It is tricky to load the driver
  • Fussy about ink cartridge insertion
