  • us with super clean bass reproduction at all sound pressures
  • very effective damping and stiffening
  • Dolby Atmos delivers surprisingly good sound
  • woofer note is better than the old D1/D2
  • small improvements lead to a better overall design
  • Fast
  • luxurious
  • high quality and accuracy
  • Detail is excellent and one of the best I have heard so far
  • score high for looks and styling
  • D4 is getting closer to perfection

Cons

  • the speakers would produce a bigger soundstage
  • diaphragm is thicker in the middle than at the edges
  • several meters long to make it impossible to place the speakers
  • Power hungry The speakers require a load of 50-1000 watts
  • iconic shape and trim
  • are suited for such deep bass
  • It may not display this or other websites correctly
  • Strange -- the older and more decrepit my ears
  • harmonics seeming to float through the hall
  • suddenly no longer in my own listening room
  • most people will only spot the differences at second or third glance
