BlackBerry Pearl (formerly known as the KickStart) 8220 Hands-On Hardware Review

The Web's First Review of the BlackBerry KickStart 8220. Grab a cup of coffee, sit back and relax! It's time for another hands-on review of a yet to be officially announced or released BlackBerry smartphone. BlackBerry Pearl Flip Review

If it hadn't been leaked so damn much, the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 would be something of a surprise. Not simply because it's the first-ever clamshell BlackBerry, but the fact that RIM went in this direction at all, especially when you look at the rest of its new phones, with their clean, almost aerodynamic lines,…

RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8220 Flip Hands-On Review: The Pearl, Reborn

Research In Motion (RIM) today debuts its first clamshell smartphone, the BlackBerry Pearl 8220 Flip from T-Mobile and we've got a hands-on review. Our verdict: This sexy-looking Pearl is aimed specifically at the vast consumer market—and it shows. As a great entry-level device the new Pearl could also cater to businesspeople. But it's not ideal for power users.

Review: BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 from T-Mobile

It wasn't until I picked up my Sunset colored BlackBerry Curve a few months ago that I really discovered how functional and powerful a BlackBerry device could be. I tried a BlackBerry Pearl about 6 months before with minor usage attempts over the last couple of years and always felt the BlackBerry devices were strong in email, but not much else. RIM has really been focusing on the consumer with devices like the Pearl and Curve and just recently launched their first flip/clamshell form factor BlackBerry device with the BlackBerry Pearl Flip on T-Mobile.

Review: New BlackBerry Pearl Will Make You Flip Out

BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 When Research in Motion had a corner on the mobile e-mail market, the company fostered roughly the same innovation as the Soviet empire circa 1989. Color screens? Who needs that on a phone meant for the working class? A media player? We should not foster idleness and diversion. A camera? That’s […]
