Pros

  • Cosmo spot is bright and sufficient for skiing
  • Lightweight and roomy
  • affordability and simplicity
  • Nice going out for 11 days and still having juice
  • the battery life has been excellent
  • The controls are simple
  • intuitive
  • and work well
  • fantastic price
  • quality build
  • and plenty of light provides

Cons

  • No cherry-picked units sent by manufacturers
  • it s still too bright for me for in the tent tasks
  • it s hard to complain at the price point of the light
  • it does not have Black Diamond s Power Tap feature
  • Cosmo has no battery indicator
  • only ramp up the red light or the flood to maximum brightness
  • the build quality of the cables and waterproofing is mediocre
  • the latch that holds the unit closed is pathetically weak
  • blinding white light that pisses everyone off
  • heavy and clumsy - so
  • battery life does not impress me on most new headlamps
