BeBook has produced some great e-book readers in its time. But, as we sit with the really quite nice BeBook Club ereader in our hands, we do wonder if the company, and others like it, can survive.
The Bebook Club S is the most recent edition to the e-reader offerings by the Netherlands based company. This model is an expansion on their popular Club device that saw critical success in Europe due to the low price point. The new ebook reader offers new features but lacks WIFI and other essentials. How does it stack up against the competition and is it a good buy? Hardware The Bebook Club S features a six inch e-ink pearl display with a resolution of 600x800. and 16 levels of grayscale. There is no touchscreen in this model and navigation is relegated
The BeBook Club offers features that lower-priced readers do not, but for AU$249 it would have been nice to see at least a dictionary or Wi-Fi thrown in, too.
