  • old-school elegance and modern technology
  • tweeters hold up well under high power and the edge-driven design gives

  • pleasant and well-designed
  • this speaker objectively and for the most part
  • the clarity offered is very nice for the price
  • The smooth
  • crimson hardwood looks stunning
  • sound was improved when matched with a comparable amp
  • superb dynamic and clarity

Cons

  • Lacking bass depth and quantity makes the entire experience feel lopsided

  • overblown bass and dynamic impact
  • drivers were tuned with a relatively thin low end
  • The sound certainly wasn t bad - far from it
  • HD3 It s hard not to be enamoured with Audioengine
