Pros

  • smooth and gentle slope in the lower treble
  • beautiful clean and straight line from 20 Hz to 2 kHz
  • it is also very well recorded
  • height adjustment mechanism is simple yet super sturdy
  • every note and sounded lighting quick with faster electronica
  • It resonates great and will resist a life-time if properly maintained
  • sweet
  • believable and full-bodied midrange
  • lightning quick speed and also a crisp and extended treble region
  • Backing vocals are very seductive
  • Vocals are rich and very detailed

Cons

  • apparently more expensive does not equal better sound
  • still not as clean or controlled as headphone models from other manufacturers
  • Inside LCD-4 is not just using the biggest transducer size of 106 mm
  • rough edges
  • small cracks in the wood
  • LCD-4 ear-pads are not that easy to replace
  • spectral decay would be rendered
