Activision Tennis review. http://www.ClassicGameRoom.com Classic Game Room reviews TENNIS for Atari 2600 from 1981 by Activision. Tennis is a fun two player game on Atari 2600 but fails to deliver real single player action because the computer is smarter than you are. It's like playing chess against HAL 9000. Enjoy this competent programming effort that looks like real tennis with somewhat life-like players holding tennis rackets as they bat the ball back and forth across the lush, grassy tennis court. CGR Activision's Tennis video review features Tennis video game gameplay on Atari 2600. Select from four modes of gameplay (two single player and two 2-player modes) and choose your difficulty (A or B) as your compete to become the tennis pro champion in 1981's TENNIS for Atari 2600.Read more

Classic Game Room HD is a new member of the Classic Game Room family. A more relaxed, subdued show reviewing classic video games from the past 30 years. "Just because the graphics are better doesn't mean the game is better" Galaga is one of the biggest classic video arcade games from the 1980's, and this version on the Atari 7800 Prosystem is one of the best. Is it better than Galaga on the Xbox 360 Live Arcade (XBLA)? Retro gaming at its finest. You shoot invaders from space as they swarm upon you and try to take yo' $#@! Blow them up with your dual space ships and send those aliens packing! Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. Classic Game Room was the original classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999-2000, now on DVD.Read more

The Atari 7800 differs from the 2600 in several key areas It has additional RAM (Random Access Memory) and the ability to access more cartridge data at one time than the 2600. The 7800's compatibility with the Atari 2600 is made possible by including many of the same chips used in the Atari 2600.
