  • the monitor performed admirably
  • Performance on the black level test was quite strong
  • nice neutral tones with very subtle additional hues where appropriate
  • responsiveness was also good on the PB279Q
  • Contrast performance was also pleasing
  • strong consistency overall for the lighter content
  • Pleasing balance overall and brightness quite comfortable
  • ergonomic flexibility

Cons

  • colours lose saturation further down the screen from a normal viewing position
  • inverse ghosting in places
  • lack the sharpness of running the resolution natively on a display of similar size
  • Colour temperature uniformity map UC off The results here are a bit mixed
  • interpolation is handled so poorly by the monitor
  • Fast refresh is only possible through DisplayPort
  • it lacks proper support for the wider Adobe RGB color space
  • limited contrast and narrow viewing angle
  • the edges can appear darker or washed out
