  • front-stage imaging balanced
  • AVR sounds beautifully precise and balanced

Cons

  • absence of independent subwoofer outputs
  • smoothness quotient was not as high as the the 720 either

Pros

  • is perfectly delineated
  • front-stage imaging balanced
  • AVR sounds beautifully precise and balanced
  • Very good and very accurate overall
  • Nice echo effects when inside the alien ship and good panning sounds creating
  • Transparency was great while panning stereo effects were very impressive elevating the entire performance
  • good energy
  • pinpoint accuracy and exceptional fidelity
  • fast and agile listen
  • a terrific performance for the money
  • the room EQ is immensely flexible and works well

Cons

  • absence of independent subwoofer outputs
  • smoothness quotient was not as high as the the 720 either
  • Anthem multichannel inputs to get a multi-channel DSD via analog connection
  • the receiver does not have multichannel analog input
  • the ARC does not add additional mid bass in my room
  • Anthem cannot decode native DSD in multichannel or stereo
  • the unit was noticeably heavier than the MRX 310 was
  • It could have easily fallen to sonic mush on a lesser receiver
  • No additional juicing of the levels was required
  • sound would be coming from roughly the Dolby prescribed angles
  • absurdly long
