The Amazon Kindle Scribe is an excellent big-screen ebook reader and note-taking device, but don't confuse it for a drawing pad.
Fifteen years into its existence, the Kindle adds content creation -- for a price. The $340 Scribe is destined to be a niche device.
The Amazon Kindle Scribe is a valiant first attempt at cracking into the digital note-taking market. It has its flaws, but for my needs, the Scribe is good enough.
You can read ebooks, write notes, or mark up PDFs on this new slate, but your wallet will feel a lot lighter.
The Scribe lives up to being an e-reader you can use for taking notes, sketching and marking up docs, but it's not a total slam dunk.
Amazon might live in the cloud, but the Scribe doesn’t.
