Pros

  • Color/contrast/saturation are nice
  • Canon 14 L feels very solid in your hand - it handles very well
  • The focus ring operates smoothly
  • well positioned and comfortable
  • The lens is comfortable and comfortable to operate
  • Excellent construction
  • excellent geometry
  • convenience and reliable

Cons

  • distortion is less noticeable at longer distances
  • The 14 L is very prone to flare
  • The wide open corners do not have good sharpness
  • this as extension tubes and extenders are not compatible with this lens
  • barrel distortion is visible on 14 L shots
  • large front element is naturally quite vulnerable
  • the diameter of the elements is small
  • there will be imperfections in the generated image
  • 8 L USM lens is not cheap at all)
  • the lens doesn't have a front filter ring
  • it does take rear-mounted gelatin filter inserts
