When the Leica CL was introduced a little over a year ago, the APS-C mirrorless camera joined an already full Leica roster, sharing many similarities with its siblings. Functionally equivalent to the then very recently launched TL2, but with familiar design elements of the more traditional M, the CL is an amalgam of classic and modern. While the TL2, with its sleek unibody construction and touchscreen UI, embodies minimal and futuristic, both in form and function, the CL reminds us of Leica’s past, albeit with a contemporary twist. Even though the CL evokes nostalgia of the Leica screw mount cameras from the 1930s, it also bears unmistakable resemblances to its modern-day kin, the Q and M10.
This APS-C mirrorless embodies everything Leica does right -- and wrong.
Leica CL is a 24.0MP Advanced Mirrorless camera with a APS-C sized CMOS sensor and Leica TL mount. Read our CL review to find its pros and cons.

The Leica CL Digital is a fantastic camera. But for this price point it should be full frame. It's built like an M in many ways.
The simplicity and look of the CL is pure Leica. Image shows test lens, an APO-Macro-Elmarit-TL 60mm f/2.8. While the smooth body is attractive, testers felt it lacked a helpful “grip” texture.
The Leica CL is a small, sleek mirrorless camera that delivers excellent images, but its interface needs some refinement.
The CL delivers excellent image quality and design, but is it worth the price?
The Leica CL is a brand new mirrorless camera with a 24 megapixel APS-C sensor, an EyeRes electronic viewfinder, Maestro II series processor, fast autofocus with 49 metering points, and 4K video recording at 30fps. Leica's latest is a compact shooter with manual controls, programmable menus, and an excellent viewfinder.
The new Leica CL features a more traditional design but shares many features with the snapshooter-orientated Leica TL we reviewed in November.
