Leica C-Lux review: This is no ordinary point-and-shoot, even if it looks like one. The capabilities of C-Lux are more akin to a mirrorless camera and not a compact.
For the past few years Leica has been wading into the point-and-shoot mass-market, where competition is vicious and where the company demands a pricey premium owing to its unparalleled brand. Is the good-looking, tiny C-Lux 3 worth it? Probably not: At $350 it would be superb. But at $600 it just becomes an overpriced plaything […]
10.1-megapixel compact camera with plenty of style and substance.
Leica C-LUX 3 review, find out how the C-LUX 3 stacks up against the competition in our real-world review with in-depth image quality comparisons.
The arrival on my desk of a beautiful, petite, glossy, black, metal-bodied snapper is something of an event … even though virtually the same camera is on retail shelves in the form of Panasonic’s FX37 (also known as the FX38 in some parts of the world) at significantly less price. The Leica C-Lux 3 is […]
A versatile superzoom compact camera and an ideal travel companion, but that Leica badge doesn't come cheap
Looking for a family-friendly pocket camera with a long zoom lens? Then the new Leica C-Lux could be right up your street with it's 15x, 24-360mm lens, 20 megapixel sensor and 4K video recording. Find out what we thought of Leica's latest camera in our in-depth Leica C-Lux review...
The Leica C-Lux pocket camera is a premium edition of the Panasonic ZS200. It's prettier, but also pricier.
Designed to appeal to serious photographers and informal snapshooters alike, the family-friendly Leica C-Lux takes its place in the highly acclaimed Leica lineup. Loaded with features that appeal to ardent photographers, the Leica C-Lux compact camera is built around a 20.1-megapixel 1-inch sensor and features a 15X zoom (24-360mm equivalent), eyelevel viewfinder, 3-inch LCD monitor, UHD 4k (4030p) video, 5-axis image stabilization, versatile network connectivity, 10-fps continuous shooting, Raw image capture and speedy Contrast Detect DFD (Depth from Defocus) autofocus.
A stylish and pocketable digicam for point-and-press snapshooters. The C-Lux 3 is the latest Leica-branded camera to emerge from the on-going partnership between Leica and Panasonic. Essentially a re-badged Panasonic FX37, it has the same image sensor and 5x optical zoom lens, the same monitor and identical controls. In the past, the main difference between the Leica- and Panasonic-badged models was the superior software package supplied with the former. But no software was included with the review model.
